New videos, new art, and a season of light

It’s been a busy stretch on the coast, and I’m excited to share a handful of new creations, upcoming celestial events, and some wonderful news about where my work is now being shown.
🎥 New Videos on the Channel
I’ve released three new pieces that explore very different corners of my creative world:
The Orion Sketchbook
A deep dive into the anatomy of the Orion Nebula. This video breaks the nebula down by filter:
Hα - Hydrogen alpha
OIII - Oxygen III
SII - Sulfur II
...and shows how each wavelength reveals a different layer of structure. I also walk through various combinations so you can see how the final image takes shape. It’s a love letter to the process behind the picture.
Tribute to the Yaquina Bay Bridge
A short, atmospheric piece honoring one of the coast’s most iconic silhouettes. It’s part history, part mood, part quiet meditation on a structure that has watched generations of storms and sunsets. OK, who am I kidding? I curated a set of my best photographs of the iconic bridge, then used AI to generate a disco song that has nothing but facts about the bridge. I hear that the chorus can get stuck in your head!
Rivers of Light
Rivers of Light is a 23‑minute journey through the night sky, told entirely through real timelapse and raw camera footage. From the Milky Way arching over Gull Rock on the Oregon Coast to a close view of craters on the surface of the Moon, this film flows through nearly every form of astrophotography imaginable:
✅Milky Way arches, ✅dense star fields, ✅star trails, ✅meteors, ✅comets, ✅aurora, ✅moon phases, ✅terrestrial foregrounds, and a ✅full solar eclipse.
No overlays. No narration. No CGI. Every scene is captured directly from the camera, frame by frame, allowing the sky to move at its own pace. This is not a highlight reel. It’s a continuous river of light, motion, and time.

🌌 Shot across multiple nights and seasons between 2021 and 2026
📍 Locations include the Oregon Coast and dark‑sky sites across the western U.S.
🌕 Limited Edition Moon Print: “Choose Your Price"
For a short time, I’m offering a special limited‑run moon print as a choose‑your‑price edition.
This is a way to make the piece accessible to anyone who feels a connection to it, while still honoring the craftsmanship behind the print. Once this run closes, it won’t return in this format.
If you’ve been wanting a lunar piece for your wall, this is the moment.
🌘 Lunar Eclipse on March 3
Mark your calendars: a lunar eclipse is coming up on March 3rd.
I’ll share viewing tips and timing as we get closer, but even a partial eclipse is a beautiful reminder of the celestial choreography happening above us. If the skies cooperate, it should be a lovely one to watch from the coast.
🖼️ New Work on Display
I’m thrilled to share two exhibition updates:
Reedsport Outpost
My work is now featured in the front room of the Reedsport Outpost. If you’re passing through, stop in and take a look! The space has a wonderful energy, and I’m honored to be part of it.
Chessman Gallery — Opening March 13
My next exhibition opens March 13 at the Chessman Gallery. This will be the debut of my new collection, The Oregon Coast after Dark. It's an exploration of how night transforms the landmarks and shorelines we are familiar with into something entirely different yet hauntingly beautiful. The venue is over twice the square footage of my first exhibition. The reception will be from 5pm to 7pm on the opening night.
I hope to see you there!
