Sunset's Gate Limited (3 prints only)
Long after the sun has set behind Sunset Bay, the Milky Way rises like a stairway to the outer reaches of space. The galactic arch hangs suspended above the violent waves crashing through Sunset Bay. On the horizon, the silhouettes of coastal pines lounge beneath a starry sky while neighboring galaxy M31 (the Andromeda Galaxy) hovers above the scene.
This rare moment was planned in the PhotoPills app, then captured by taking six overlapping photos or "tiles" with my Sony A7R IV camera using 30-second exposures at ISO 640. I used Image Composite Editor (ICE) to blend the panels and enhanced the Andromeda galaxy with data from a longer focal length.
I am making it available as a super-limited edition with just 1 numbered and signed print across three sizes:
The high resolution makes this a candidate for a much larger print, so I'm offering print #1 as a 30" x 40" metal panel. In addition, I will print and sign exactly one 18" x 24" and one 9" x 12".
Three prints, each signed, numbered, and provided with a certificate of authenticity. Printed on archival quality, museum grade ChromaLuxe HD aluminum.
